Lovely review from a customer on Trip Advisor. If you have visited recently, please share your comments with others by visiting the TripAdvisor site...we are there at number 4 for Stonehaven. Thanks in advance.

The Cool Gourment is a multi-purpose outlet: excellent elevensies, lovely lunches, and once a month a themed novelty dinner is on offer.
In addition to this one can order Christmas and Birthday cakes - or soups and dishes for a function - with the finished product tailored to your needs: Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegetarian, and all done with a smile on the part of the staff.
Given the start to finish hand-made nature of their fare, with local, often organic, suppliers of raw materials, the price for craft and artisan food products is reasonable.
Particular favourites for me as the soups on offer - an easy lunch (you can take your own Sistema soup mug to have it filled) and the guest scone: ginger, pear, treacle, date and walnut.
And the coffee is particularly good.
It is an excellent place to pop in for a chat (if local) or for tourist advice if a visitor.

I think our Scones have been missed...yesterday I had to make 3 batches... today I made a lot more than I normally would mid-week and sold out again today! Guess I'll have to make slightly more tomorrow.....

Well that was a busier day than expected!
Sold out of Stovies and Risotto... guess what's getting made as soon as the Scones are done in the morning!
We've got a few more soups made today as well, including Chicken Veg and Rice, Sweet Tattie & Tomato and Carrot & Orange, so lots of choice for everyone!
Looking forward to another busy day tomorrow!
